PROFESSIONAL CHOREOGRAPHY AND COLLECTIVE PERFORMANCE BY MOMENTOM COLLECTIVE
We gather 25+ people alongside a beautiful beach in Nicaragua to co-create a show that will en-trance observers. We cultivate a prayer on stage that will inspire and open minds wide open. For our 8th season, we open our doors so that you can peer behind the curtain of an alternate reality as a performer, a month-long experience that will change your life forever.
In 2019 and 2020, Momentom Collective felt called to shift from traditional performance into Prayerformance. Since then, we have been using ceremony and ritual as a leading tool to create dynamic performances that call on the energies of our earth and the unseen dimensions, bringing their messages to the stage. These powerful portals have become our signature offering as circus artists and again this year, we open the stage to 25 residents.
Momentom’s 1 month SIGNATURE circus residency is designed as a living laboratory for revolutionary perfoming artists who want to take part of a life changing habit-forming curriculum that alchemizes the artist from the inside out and allows for an expansion in all facets of their artistry.his incubator brings forth an artistic program designed to ignite the performer within residents and to pave the way to the ultimate «artist way».
This residency invites us to explore the very essence of our personal identity, so we can break it and become anyone we want to be. This artist residency is unlike anything else that is available for artists to truly develop their performance abilities.
In residency, residents will be guided by professional clowns, actors, musicians, choreographers, set designers, riggers, aerialists, who will co-create a storyline and a collective prayer that we will embody through character development, costume design, set design and that will culminate on stages and in show.
With tons of inspiration from ‘The Artist’s Way’, we set up a programme that is conducive for flow states. For us it is clear that creativity occurs in the moment, and in the moment we are timeless. This four week intensive provides experiences in:
Typically we align our performance based residencies with major festivals including Cosmic Convergence and Envision Festival. We also focus our energies in residency and our Social Circus outreach project where we introduce new conscious concepts to the locals of Nicaragua. The place to plant seeds for true transformation. This year, we will be training our Prayerformance at our new beachside venue and performing it at one of Nicaragua’s premiere events spaces and residents will have the choice to join us on stage at Envision
You will be guided into collective choreography and live first hand the process of creating a performance- from roots to sky. Together we will alchemize our creative energies together to transform idea into expression and showcase on stage.
We know that right now with the world in the state that it currently is, some times it can be challenging to justify investing in ourselves.

What does it mean to come to residency and why does it matter?
In short- because Art is essential. You are essential. A world without you knowing the depth of your own expression, of you not singing that song or taking those chances, is actually not a world we wish to live in.

Not at all! All Momentom residencies are a place to develop your skills, as well as create relationships to new ones! Our skilled teachers and performing artists on staff will create a progressive series so that you can contribute and participate no matter your current level of proficiency.
We will provide an array of different disciplines to choose from so that you can be in your highest alignment.
After your application has been accepted, within the following week, you will need to pay a 50 percent deposit to book your place. Then we ask that you pay the remaining amount no more than 30 days before your residency. If you cancel before this time we honor 50% of your deposit as credit for a future residency. If you do not cancel before this time, you will forfeit your deposit and we will have to give the space to someone else.
